The good folks at www.IfYouWereAZombie.com have found it necessary to fill in a niche that Hallmark hasn't quite yet seemed to squeeze the heartblood out of...yet. Zombie cards!
"Zombies. They're a pain. They're annoying. They aren't going away anytime soon. It's a sad truth-- the epidemic is spreading. Chances are someone you care about will become a zombie.
Tell them how you feel BEFORE they start moaning and shuffling, with our convenient zombie greeting cards. Let them know that if you see their zombified corpse, you'll feel bad when you put a slug through their brainpan.
Because, once they're a zombie, it's too late to say you care..."
Awww... That's cuter than a puppy made of kittens! Let's take a look at some of their charming work. Say... Mother's Day is only 71 days away...
Thanks to Sya's husband and pool cleaner, Kylere, for the heads up.
Tuesday AICN reported that Diablo Cody has been tapped to translate S.G. Browne's novel "Breathers: A Zombie's Lament," to the big screen. Doubtless, the zombies will be ultra-ironic and moan sarcastically. To be fair, I haven't seen Juno. Though I'm told I'd like it, an unknown force compels me to disdain Diablo Cody. Mainly because that is quite possibly the most made-up name I've ever heard with the possible exception of Vic Thrill who I'm assured is a nice guy.
So suck it, Cody.
I'm being literal there. Faux-goth is the new hippie-chick. Yowza.
It's been requested that I at least include a zombie movie review or recommendation once in a while. As it happens, I have recently watched (as a lark,no less) two classic under-appreciated horror movies from the 80's. I'd seen these movies in the video store a million times over the years but never knew anything about them. Finally, this month, I learned what can only be the most important single criteria for any movie viewing: they were free and On-Demand.
Here's my recommendations. Watch them both back-to-back. I will have a review of at least one of them next week. Go watch them so we can compare notes!
