You're invited to a badass movie premiere in Lansing on November 15!

As some of you are aware, I've been spending my weekends in Lansing for the last few months filming a new movie with Nathan Quinn. This new project ("Unconventional") follows the exploits of two science fiction geeks at the Motor City Comic Con. The leads, Nate and Gary, are compulsive bettors continuously engaged in ridiculous wagers that always end up going horribly wrong. The movie is the story of their latest bet: whether or not Nate can secure an interview with Brent Spiner (Commander Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation). Complete with nerd jokes and celebrity cameos, this movie is, in a word, "really, really, really funny". A few weeks ago we filmed a battle sequence involving Marvel and DC superheroes, storm troopers and Darth Vader.

We are so getting sued.

Anyway, the Lansing State Journal spent a couple hours hanging with us and they'll be doing a story right before the premiere on November 15, 2006 at Tripper's Bar & Grill. Tickets are a ridiculously low $6.00 each and will help defray the upcoming legal battles Nate is soon to face because of this comedic gem. For now, however, The Journal saw fit to put us in the paper on page B2 a few weeks ago. Please see the picture of Nate and yours truly. While you're at it, go watch the latest trailer for the movie. Or, go see some production stills from the set!

Larry Thomas, the "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld will also be in attendance signing autographs!!
