Don is an actor and is currently touring with Joseph so he couldn't get a haircut. As such, his shoulder-length hair had to be tied up with a white bow like a Little Lord Fauntleroy. This is the beginning of the funny. One interesting fact about Don is that his uncle is actually Don Brewer of Grand Funk Railroad fame. Actually, another buddy of mine's uncle is Mel Schacher.
Neat!
At any rate, Mssr. Brewer was in attendance.
It turns out Don is marrying the girl who played the best friend of Tracy Gold's Carol on Growing Pains.
Double neat!
It then turns out the her father wrote the lyrics for Cher's song "half breed".
Triple neat!
Then it turns out the DJ is a big Grand Funk fan so he plays She's Some Kind Of Wonderful and Don Sr. gets up and sings it for the whole group to hear. And yes, I know that page is for the Huey Lewis version but I'm lazy, so just die already.
Quadruple neat!
Don's mom was a dancer for years. I don't know all her credits but I do know that you can see her in a segment of Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Well, she's been a choreographer for God knows how long at this point. So some of her dancers came to the wedding and apparently they did this dance number to "Hey, Big Spender!" which is possibly the hottest clean song there is. God, Fosse can make you move. Especially Sandy's girls dancing to it during their "Movies Were Movies" recital at the Whiting. Yow. Pop my cork. Only three words can describe that experience and all three words are "hot". Anyway, so dance routine at the wedding.
Quintuple neat!
The only thing that could have made this a cooler wedding would have been maybe some machine gun fire and a few porn grenades. I don't know exactly what a porn grenade is but damn it sounds fun, doesn't it??
